East Kalimantan Strengthens Small Business AEC 2015

BALIKPAPAN February 23 2015 – The East Kalimantan provincial government holds coordination meeting for the arrangement of programs and activities in industry trade cooperative and MSME in East Kalimantan to finalize the preparation towards the AEC (Asean Economic Community) 2015.

Head of Trade and Cooperative Industry Service of East Kalimantan Ichwansyah said the Service would set strategies to prepare the MSME (micro small and medium enterprises) sector.

“We would bring along the National Standardization Agency . Standardization is vital in the AEC” he said to Indonesia Business Daily Monday (2/23/2015).

The Industry Service would not only support the MSME players in the standardization but also in business capitalization.

Meanwhile BSN Head Bambang Prasetya stated that in order to face the AEC the entire industry sectors in every province needs to equalize the standard. Read more…
