Qatar to Partake in Arab Health Ministers Council Meetings


(MENAFN- QNA) The State of Qatar is set to take part in the 34th session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of the Arab Health Ministers at the Headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo on next Wednesday and Thursday.

HE the Minister of Public Health, Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani will lead Qatar's delegation to the meeting.

Participants will discuss issues relating to health and humanitarian conditions in Palestine and Ebola disease in addition to preparations for the next Arab Economic and Social Development Summit to be held in Tunisia in 2015 along with the improvement of maternal health in Arab region and the Arab strategy of fight against AIDS 2014-2020.

The meeting will also discuss amendment to the statute of the Arab health ministers' council , activities of the technical secretariat of the council as well as topics related to mental health, addiction and Arab social support and integration in the field of medicine. They will also discuss activities of Arabicization Center For Medical Science and Arab Board medical specialization.
