Two bombings hit Iran embassy in Tripoli


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Two bomb explosions on Sunday took place outside the Iranian Embassy in Tripoli, causing no casualties, a Libyan official said.

Two unidentified persons detonated two bombs outside the Iranian embassy and the residence of the ambassador in central Tripoli, spokesman for security services in the capital Issam Al-Naass told KUNA.

The explosions only caused minimum damage to the empty building, the spokesman added.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bomb explosions.

Libya has been in chaos since the overthrow of its leader Col Muammar Gaddafi in an uprising in 2011.
