(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a traffic diversion on Al Khor Commercial Street until the first quarter of next year.
Parts of one lane of the street have been closed at the sector between the old Coffee Pot Roundabout towards Nassir bin Abdullah Al Missned Street (Commercial Street), passing Al Khor Health Centre.
Traffic has been diverted to a temporary parallel road in addition to the open lane of the road. The diversion is for works on roads and infrastructure for Al Khor Commercial Street project.
The project will improve road alignment and road cross sections within right-of-way corridors ranging between 16 metres and 40 metres, enhancing smooth traffic, Ashghal said yesterday.
It will also include the construction of signal controlled junctions, service roads and parking bays to improve commercial and residential access.
