Three Policemen and Two Insurgents Killed in Afghanistan


(MENAFN- QNA) Three Afghan policemen and two Taliban insurgents killed in Maidan Wardak Province in Afghanistan.

According to Khaama Press (KP), the gun battle between security officials and Taliban militants also left three other policemen and two Taliban insurgents wounded in Noorkhil area of Chak District Sunday morning.

Security Forces have seized a weapon depot during an operation in Maidan Shar, capital city of Maidan Wardak Province.

Officials say the depot was seized in Ibrahimkhil area which includes Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), Bombs and other Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) as well as ammunitions.

Maidan Wardak, located some 35 kilometers west of Kabul in the central-eastern part of the country is one of the comparatively secured provinces of Afghanistan but terrorist activities occasionally happen in parts of this province.
