Arab World imports from Brazil touch USD13.40b in 2014


(MENAFN) According to figures released by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, the total value of products imported to the Arab World from Brazil touched USD13.40 billion in 2014, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

Aircraft and Spacecraft topped imported products from Brazil to the region with a drastic increase from USD3 million in 2013 up to USD227 million in 2014.

The UAE imports from Brazil reached USD2.84 billion from USD2.58 billion in 2013. Saudi's imports reached USD2.54 billion.

Qatari imports reached USD369 million from USD334 million in 2013. Egypt's imports reached USD2.31 billion against USD2.2 billion in 2013.

"The significant growth in exports from Brazil to the Arab Nations is a sign of thriving business relations between the two regions," CEO of Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.
