Iranian gas export increases 8 percent


(MENAFN) National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said exports this year increased by 8 percent as compared to the previous year, Iran Daily reported.

Due to a shortage of production in past years, the gas network faced problems and hindrance when it comes to supplying household and commercial demands.

As a resourceful solution, the Oil Ministry put development of South Pars field as its number one primacy.

Concerning gas exports to Iraq, the required infrastructures for gas export to have been provided by the NIGC and soon there will be a capacity of exporting 10 million cubic meters of gas to this city per day.

The volume of natural gas processing capacity in Iran increased by 22 billion cubic meters in 2015 as compared to the previous year.
