BP Oman holds contractor safety forum for Khazzan project

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) BP Oman hosted a safety engagement forum with its oil and gas service contractors for the Khazzan project.

The forum was attended by senior executives from BP as well as senior executives from companies supporting the project.

Building on the good safety performance in 2014 BP shared its continuous commitment to further improve safety by positively influencing the safety culture in the project.

Paul Forman BP Oman's vice president for wells said 'Safety is and will remain BP's number one priority. This forum provides BP and the contractor community an important opportunity to continue improving the safety culture in the Khazzan project in order that no one gets injured and there is no loss of hydrocarbons.'

Fredric Young CEO of Dalma Energy and one of the attendees at the forum said 'The importance of this forum is to meet executives who have the same interest as you have.'

The forum was attended by over 50 representatives from 12 companies. Sanctioned in December 2013 the Khazzan project represents the first phase in the development of one of the Middle East region's largest unconventional tight gas plays.
