Pakistan, Turkey sign 11 agreements
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Pakistan and Turkey on Tuesday signed eleven agreements and memoranda of understand (MoUs) to strengthen their relations in different areas during the two day visit of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to Pakistan.
Turkish Prime Minister held a one-on-one meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in federal capital Islamabad, which was followed by delegation-level talks.
One agreement, five protocols, three MoUs, one additional protocol and a Joint Declaration was signed to strengthen the strategic relationship between the two countries.
Pakistan and Turkey also agree to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and security during a meeting between Turkish premier and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif in Islamabad.
According to Pakistani sources, military matters related to regional security and bilateral security and defense cooperation and collaboration between two brotherly countries were discussed during the meeting.
