(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday discussed with US House Armed Services Committee delegation, led by MP Joe Wilson, Jordanian-US ties and ways to boost cooperation in various fields.
His Majesty voiced appreciation for Washington's support of Jordan and its armed forces.
The meeting tackled a number of issues, foremost of which is international efforts in the fight against terrorist organizations and extremist ideology and ways to deal with these threats to preserve the security and stability of the region.
The committee's members highlighted Jordan's pivotal role in fighting terrorism and extremism, stressing their support to the Kingdom and to enhancing Jordan's ability to cope with various challenges.
