King condemns crime committed by Daesh against Egyptians


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II has strongly condemned the heinous crime committed by the cowardly Daesh terrorist group against a number of Egyptian brethren in Libya.

During a telephone call on Monday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the King voiced the condemnation of Jordan's people and government of this act carried out by a misguided group that is not related to Islam and is an enemy of all human values.

His Majesty also voiced Jordan's full support and solidarity with Egypt at these times to face this threat. He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims as well as the people of Egypt.

The Egyptian president praised the supportive stance of His Majesty and Jordan towards Egypt as well as the King's role and efforts to bring about security and stability for the region and its peoples and defend the image of Islam and its principles.
