House censures beheading of 21 Egyptian Copts

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Lower House Speaker Atif Tarawneh condemned the "terrorist cowardly act carried out by a clique of Daesh terrorists" - slaying of 21 Egyptian Copts after they were kidnapped in Libya.

Tarawneh said these criminal acts are incompatible with the tolerant Islamic faith which is based on moderation, tolerance and morals, and which advocates acceptance of others.

He also said combating terrorism requires intensifying international efforts, in particular on the part of Arab and Islamic nations, to root out terrorism from its sources and boost religious, cultural, educational and comprehensive security efforts to consolidate the values of Islamic justice and tolerance.

Tarawneh offered sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the people of Egypt.
