S. Korea's Halla wins USD53.2m deal in Vietnam


(MENAFN) Halla Corp., one of South Korea's top 20 builders, said that it has posted a USD53.2 million deal to build a freeway in Vietnam, Yonhap News reported.

The deal signed with Hanoi-based Vietnam Expressway Corp. calls for Halla to construct an expressway linking the rural districts of Ben and Long Thanh within southeastern Vietnam. The project is expected to take 36 months to complete.

The South Korean builder is part of Hall Group, a construction and auto-parts conglomerate run by Chung Mong-won, a cousin of Hyundai Motor Group chairman.
