Ramada Abu Dhabi reports full occupancy for IDEX
(MENAFNEditorial) Ramada Hotel Abu Dhabi has recorded strong business over the past nine months and expects full occupancy rates during IDEX 2015, its general manager has said.
Rene' Vincent-Ernst said occupancy rates reached 72 per cent in the first nine months of the hotel's operations and expected the rate to rise to 83 per cent this year thanks to an expected surge in exhibitions, conferences and other events in the emirate.
He said the hotel has been fully booked for IDEX, adding that business would remain strong through 2015. He said many tourist groups from Europe, India, China and other countries are flocking to the hotel and hoped to see guests from the GCC.
He said the four-star hotel is making attractive offers for GCC visitors, adding that the hotel attracts many tourists and visitors because of its prime location as is close to shopping and business centres and is the only four-star hotel that is located on the Corniche and is just 20 minutes from key amusement locations, including Yas Island.
"Our prices are reasonable and competitive...we keep making attractive offers to guests from the UAE and other GCC countries to promote tourism," he said.
He noted that Ramada comprises 235 rooms and a variety of services and facilities, disclosing plans to open two new hotels in Abu Dhabi with a total 600 rooms.
Turning to Abu Dhabi, he said the emirate had succeeded in becoming a key tourism destination thanks to efforts by the Abu Dhabi tourism and culture authority and other institutions, including Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi international exhibition centre.
He said such efforts were supported by the fact that Abu Dhabi already has major attraction facilities including Yas Waterworld and mall, Ferrari World, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, museums and many other historic, cultural and amusement facilities.
He noted that Abu Dhabi is also attracting tourists from other Arab countries given its modern facilities and the fact that it is easily accessible by land, air and sea.
"The number of events, covering economy, art, culture, sport and other sectors, is increasing every year in Abu Dhabi...this is making it busier and more attractive for tourists and visitors from other countries," he
