Taiwan, Dubai economic ties expand by 7.4 percent


(MENAFN) Taiwanese companies are set to base in Dubai in hopes of catering Africa region, Emirates 24\7 reported.

Economic trade relations between UAE and Taiwan witnessed a 7.4 percent expansion which amounted to USD7.2 billion in 2014 over USD6.7 billion the year before.

Taiwanese exports to UAE summed up a total of USD1.7 billion in 2013, while imports hovered around USD5 billion.

Taiwan persistently tried to solidify economic ties with UAE, and its efforts were marked by its participation in Gulfood 2015 held in Dubai earlier this month.
