Kuwait participate in the 2015 National Multicultural Festival


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Embassy in Australia took part in the annual National Multicultural Festival held in the federal capital Canberra in the presence of senior officials.

Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia Khaled Al-Shibani told KUNA in a telephone contact Monday that Kuwait's stall reflected the national identity, focusing on heritage.

He also indicated that the Kuwaiti team at the pavilion distributed various publications about Kuwait.

Al-Shibani has noted keenness on participating in this annual festival, which marks its 19th anniversary and witnesses international participation from various countries of the world, expressing his satisfaction at the large turnout of Australians, witnessed at the Kuwaiti booth.

Australian Minister of Multicultural Affairs Yvette Berry, in a message published on the festival site, said the event has evolved from a small celebration of a few hundred individuals to the biggest multicultural event in the country, drawing more than 260,000 people together each time.
