Saudi- Prince Faisal inaugurates Khaibar housing project
(MENAFN- Arab News) Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman opened a housing project consisting of 149 homes in Khaibar on Sunday in the presence of Housing Minister Shuwaish Al-Dowaihi.
Each home contains an area of 700 square meters while the project includes a mosque that can accommodate more than 200 worshippers an official statement said.
Prince Faisal also opened a new administrative building in Khaibar as well as the Khaibar General Hospital the statement added.
Addressing a ceremony that was held on the occasion Badr bin Faihan Darwish chief administrator of Khaibar thanked Prince Faisal for opening the new development and for welfare projects in the city.
'The new administrative building will provide a good atmosphere for government employees to carry out their duties efficiently' he said.
Darwish said the new hospital would contribute to further improving health services for people in Khaibar.
'The hospital has been working on an experimental basis during the past two weeks' he pointed out.
Speaking to reporters Al-Dhuwaihi disclosed plans to implement more housing projects in the Madinah region.
'The Khaibar project is the first of these projects' he added. He said a number of new housing projects have been completed in various parts of the Kingdom adding that they would be distributed among the deserving families shortly. He said more plots would be distributed among citizens across the country to build homes.
Health Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb attended the opening of the 100-bed hospital which was established at a cost of SR151 million. Prince Faisal accompanied by Al-Khateeb toured various departments of the hospital.
