Israel allows 550 trucks into Gaza


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Israeli occupation authorities have allowed the entry of 550 trucks loaded with aid and goods for the commercial and agricultural sectors through the Karem Abu Salem crossing, according to a report carried by the Qatar News Agency, QNA.

Raed Fattouh, Head of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods in the Gaza Strip, said that the Israeli side decided to allow the entry of 150 trucks loaded with gravel for roads infrastructure and 190 truckloads with construction materials for Relief Agency projects, in addition to pumping quantities of industrial diesel for the Gaza power plant, transportation fuel and cooking gas.

Karem Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel enter the Gaza Strip, and the occupation authorities close it on Friday and Saturday of each week.
