Militants Blow up Major Oil Pipeline in Libya


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Militants in Libya on Saturday blew up a pipeline that transports oil from a southern field to the eastern city of Tobruk on the Mediterranean, local media reported.
Oil employee Issa Al-Manfa reported the attack on the Al-Sarir pipeline to Libyan news site Al-Wasat.
The pipeline transports around 180,000 barrels per day, according to Al-Wasat.
It runs between Al-Sarir oilfield to Al-Hariga export terminal in Tobruk, according to dpa.
No-one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
