(OTCBB: SWRF: SWRF) SoOum Corp/Swordfish Financial Inc. is our major stock pix as it recently announced that it was awarded a Commercial And Government Entity code (CAGE) which allows them to procure contracts with the United States government.
According to the United States’ System For Award Management (sam.gov) SoOum received the CAGE code: 7AJR4 and it is registered to procure contracts for food oils and fats live animals raised for food dairy foods and eggs R&D Defense other: fuels/lubricants sugar confectionary and nuts. It is important to know these approvals allows SoOum to continue to offer services and products the US Government for purchase and shipping. Along with this transaction SoOum announced the addition of Mr. Eric Malmstrom who would focus his efforts specifically to manage this Government agreement.
Prior to joining SoOum Mr. Eric Malmstrom was a Portfolio Analyst with St. Esprit Research & Trading LLC and help manage trades at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Malsmstrom was a Hedge Fund Portfolio Operations Professional with Wolf International Advisors an Event Driven Trader with Cassandra Group and Associate Director ETD Trade Execution with UBS/Swiss Bank Corp/OCA.
According to usaspending.gov for FY 2015 the United States government is schedule to award over $525 Billion in contracts though their different agencies and departments.
Here’s the breakdown on procurement contracts available for FY 2015 under the different areas that SoOum will be seeking procurement services/contracts for the United States government.
Fuels and lubricants: $1.1 billion
Dairy foods and eggs: $45 Billion
Sugar: $3 Billion
Confectionary: $1.4 Billion
Nuts: $2 Billion
Oils and Fat: $9 Billion
Live Animals not raised for food: $57 Billion
Foods: $73.8 Billion
SoOum recently posted on its twitter @SoOumCorp that is fulfilling a sugar icing contract previously announced last quarter. Sugar is produced in 120 countries with global production now exceeding 165 million tons per year. Today a word population of 7 people consumes over 150 million tons of sugar per year. Sugar producers in the United States generate nearly $10 billion a year for the U.S. economy and it supports 14600 U.S. jobs.
