Jambi Invites South Korean Investor

JAMBI February 13 2015—Jambi wait the recommendation from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to continue  steam power plant in Tebo District 

Governor of Jambi Hasan Basri Agus said his commitment to continue the development of Tebo Steam Power Plant with capacity of 2x200 MW. He invited South Korean Investor to Jambi on Thursday (2/12/2015.

He said the Korean investor now just have to fulfill the requirements and wait for the recommendation from BKPM. The investor candidates also stated its seriousness to invest at the Tebo Steam Power Plant.

“They want to affirm their commitment to develop Steam Power Plant in Tebo. There has been approval from the central government. There are also feasibility study process at the BKPM as well as manufacturer location survey and industrial location which will be developed. Hopefully it can be realized” said Hasan Friday (2/13/2015).

The power plant development has been planned since 2012 by signing the MoU between Provincial Government of Jambi and KOSEP. However the development couldn’t be realized due to the license from PLN which has not been granted. Read more...
