House speaker, Czech president discuss parliamentary ties


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Atef Tarawneh discussed with the Czech President Milos Zeman, cooperation between Jordan and the Czech Republic, mainly in the parliamentary field, as well as ways to further boost it in the interest of both peoples.

The Czech president stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral ties and praised Jordan's role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II towards regional and international issues.

Tarawneh, on his part, reviewed Jordan's comprehensive reform process being implemented under the leadership of His Majesty the King as well as the laws accomplished by the House.

Tarawneh also spoke about Jordan's parliamentary and political life and the House's constitutional duties in terms of monitoring and legislation.
