(MENAFN- QNA) Iraqi President has Dr. Fuad Masum has praised his meeting with HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani adding that the meeting was cordial and frank and addressed all questions and issues that concern the two countries.
During a press meeting he held here today with a number of local and foreign media, the Iraqi President stressed that the joint committees between the two countries would be activated and that committees in other areas would be formed with a view to pushing forward the interests of the two countries , referring to the planned visit of HE the Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah to Iraq soon.
President Masum noted that the visit represents the beginning of the return of Iraqi-Qatari ties to normal. He said he looks forward that Iraq's ties with the Gulf countries and the region would be distinguished based on mutual understanding and common interests.
