Oman Rail PMC granted USD148.77m contract

(MENAFN) A long-awaited contract for Oman Rail's Project Management Consultancy (PMC) has now been conciliated in favor of the syndicate headed by Spanish-based international engineering and infrastructure contractor, Oman Daily Observer reported.

The Government Tender Board announced the winning bid at USD148.77 million. The winning syndicate is now expected to operate alongside experts to hasten the execution of Segment one after a PMC consultant has been appointed.

The PMC is required to reexamine the initial design of the network already made by Italferr, the Preliminary Design Consultant for the Oman National Rail Project.

Likewise, the PMC is set to review the contract process, broaden its management and construction supervision, and render management services.
