Cordillera Ranch Enjoys Banner 2014 in Real Estate Sales

(BOERNE Texas) – The final numbers are in at Cordillera Ranch – the Hill Country’s premier luxury community – and 2014 was a banner year for both real estate and membership sales at one of the country’s hottest luxury master-planned communities.

In 2014 33 homes sold at an average of $886000 and total lot sales increased by 32 percent. Trending in 2015: 46 new homes are under construction totaling more than $60 million in new starts – easily the highest total of any upscale community in the San Antonio area. Another 39 homes are in the architectural review approval process – a 65 percent increase over 2013. Six Preferred Builders – Authentic Custom Homes Burdick and Christofilis Robert S. Since its inception in 1997 approximately 700 homes have been completed (with more than 1200 lot sales) in the 8700-acre community. At final build-out this low-density Hill Country community will total approximately 2500 homes and preserve approximately 80 percent of the land in its natural vegetation. Cordillera Ranch’s seven clubs (in one membership) include Golf Tennis and Swim Spa and Athletic Social Rod and Gun Equestrian and River and attract a wide array of buyers throughout Texas and nationally. More than 70 new members were added in 2014 bucking the national trend of private club membership attrition.

Cordillera Ranch unveiled three new sections in 2014: Phase II of the Di Lusso Villas Bear’s Ridge hilltop view lots and a limited number of Golf Course Frontage Lots on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course – the first of its kind in seven years.

For families with school-aged kids the community is in the prestigious Boerne Independent School District. Newsweek recently ranked both Boerne ISD high schools among the top 3 percent in the country. Also an education analysis group listed five Boerne ISD elementary schools among the eight best in the San Antonio area including the top four spots.

And then there’s the Alamo City. San Antonio recently ranked 10th in the Milken Institute’s “Best Performing Cities” list which evaluates small and large cities by tracking job growth wage and salary growth and the size and concentration of high tech industry. The index also showed that technology and shale energy spearheaded the nation’s economy out of the debilitating recession of the late 2000's.
