Japan, Mongolia to sign free trade agreement

(MENAFN) Japan is set to sign a free trade agreement with Mongolia for improving bilateral economic and political affairs, Kyodo News reported.

Japanese prime minister is expected to oversee an offer of USD310.6 million in low-interest loans to Mongolia for building a new international airport in Ulan Bator.

By improving bilateral economic ties with Mongolia, Japan hopes to gain more support from Ulan Bator in negotiating with North Korea over the latest abduction of Japanese citizens.
