China to impose record fine of USD994m on US firm


(MENAFN) Chinese authorities have imposed a record fine of USD994 million on mobile chip marker Qualcomm following anti-trust probe, it was announced Tuesday, QNA reported.

The National Development and Reform Commission said Qualcomm was found to have abused its market dominance and limited competition.

The watchdog requires the US firm to modify its licensing practices in the country.
