Jordan, Bahrain leaders discuss regional developments


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) King Abdullah II of Jordan yesterday held a round of talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, during which they discussed ways of boosting ties between the two countries and reviewed the latest regional developments.

According to Petra News Agency, the two leaders reviewed efforts to fight terrorism and extremism to preserve the stability and security of the region and its peoples.

The meeting also tackled means to promote Jordanian-Bahraini military ties, mainly in the air force sphere.

The Bahraini monarch offered condolences to the Jordanian King over the death of pilot Moath Kasasbeh, adding that the pilot died while defending his, country, nation and religion.

The two leaders also discussed the situation in Syria and Iraq, the challenges facing a number of Arab countries, as well as the need to boost coordination among Arab countries.
