Middle East Airlines 2014 results steady

(MENAFN) Middle East Airlines chairman said that the company retained its profits in 2014 in spite of the difficult circumstances in the region, The Daily Star reported.

Revenues in 2014 were valued at more than USD700 million, while profits for the year were close to USD69 million compared to around USD63 million in 2013, the chairman added.

"The challenges MEA faced in 2014 were similar to the ones of 2013, [namely trying] to sustain operations and achieve profits amid difficult security and political conditions as well as warnings from Arab nationals not to travel to Beirut," the chairman stated.
