(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 23-year-old Indian housewife, who allegedly seduced a wealthy manager into having sex with her and later extorted him of large amounts of money by blackmailing him, stood trial in the Dubai Court of First Instance on Sunday.
H.S., together with her 48-year-old mother, S.S, faced charges of blackmailing, making threats to defame the complainant and extorting money.
The Indian manager, 44, said that H.S. was introduced to him by a friend right after his arrival in Dubai on February 28 last year. He was left alone with her in a hotel room in Ajman where she managed to seduce him and have sex with him.
"She was drunk and behaving erratically. She played some porn movies and started to seduce me until we had sex," he told the prosecutor. When he was washing up in the washroom, he found her crying hysterically. "She called her mother, brother, father and my friend and other men who claimed they were CIDs. They told me to pay Dh1 million to drop a case they were to file against me."
The manager gave them a cheque for Dh500,000 issued in H.S's name. A few days later, he was also made to give her another Dh50,000 after she allegedly blackmailed him over the phone that she would expose what he did to her and sue him. Later on, he also settled her hospital bill worth Dh48,000 after she threatened him.
He lodged a complaint at Al Qusais police station on June 2 last year, as H.S. and her mother S.S. kept extorting money from him.
H.S. and her mother were arrested on July 17 from Al Nahda area in Sharjah. A police officer said H.S denied having any illicit sexual relationship with the manager. She claimed that she met him once at a party in Ajman.
