Kerry says West should unite against Ukraine's crisis

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) US Secretary of State John Kerry called on the Western countries Sunday to have a united voice vis-a-vis the Ukrainian crisis, which has recently witnessed escalation of hostilities in east Ukraine.

Kerry made the remarks during a meeting with his German and French counterparts, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Laurent Fabius respectively, to discuss Ukrainian conflict, on sidelines of Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Kerry denied a dispute between the US and Europe over the conflict in Ukraine.

He criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin's Ukraine policy, which Kerry said destabilizing security in east Ukraine.

Steimeier said "we are still far from a political solution for the conflict despite many discussions held over the past two days in Munich." Fabius said Putin "is a political leader who is not committed with all rules of the democratic game."
