Saudi- Riyad Bank launches Project Wheelchair
(MENAFN- Arab News) As a community service initiative for 2015 and as part of its nationwide health development programs NAMAA Riyad Bank launched Project Wheelchair a new concept that will support rehabilitation institutions and charities by providing their patients with a means to become more mobile and independent.
Through project Riyad Bank will soon begin distributing a large number of wheelchairs to patients and people with special needs in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and its branches across the kingdom.
'Project Wheelchair is one initiative that is part of a wider strategy we have undertaken to support the rehabilitation and integration of nationals with health-related issues including donating wheelchair-accessible buses to local charities at-home health care provision and the distribution of medical devices for patients with specific needs' said Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeah EVP and general supervisor of Riyad Bank's social responsibility programs.
'We will be distributing wheelchairs to a number of hospitals and rehabilitation centers over the coming ten days and we'll work to ensure that we reach as many people in need as possible' added Al-Rabeah.
