Omani pilgrim: Madinah is rich in historical treasures
(MENAFN- Arab News) As pilgrims flock to Madinah after performing Umrah in Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah they make sure to visit famous historical and archaeological sites in Madinah.
Arab News met an Omani pilgrim Ali Rashid Al-Matani who has performed Umrah tens of times earlier. Yet every time he comes he witnesses the expanding development in the city.
'I witness the change everytime I am here in Madinah especially the rising number of the pilgrims' Al-Matani said.
He said this increase comes in light of the Saudi government's keenness to provide all means of comfort and reassurance for pilgrims and visitor to the Kingdom.
Al-Matani a journalist came here with a number of Omani journalists willing to perform Umrah visit the Prophet's Mosque and have the honor of spending some quality time here.
On their schedule is to visit the known archaeological and historical sites and mosques such as the Quba Mosque Al-Qiblatain Mosque and the seven mosques.
'Madinah has a rich history of archaeological and historical treasures' he said
'This is a great and pleasant trip in which we didn't face any problems' he told Arab News.
