KRCS hands out aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan's Irbid


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Volunteers of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) distributed aid to about 600 Syrian families who are living in the Jordanian northern governorate of Irbid.

In a statement to KUNA, the KRCS's Director General Abdul Rahman Al- Oun said that the aid delivered included clothes, blankets and foodstuff from which about 4,000 people benefited.

This aid is part of the KRCS's campaign tasked with handing out aid of 80 tons to the Syrian refugees living in some Jordanian areas.

He underlined the importance of the campaign that meets the directions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah that aimed at supporting Syrians since the outbreak of the crisis.

Al-Oun also underscored the significance of the Kuwaiti aid dedicated to the displaced Syrians in order to alleviate their sufferings. He expressed his gratitude to the Jordanian Red Crescent Society for its helping role.
