Omani Economic Association to hold lecture on oil price prospects

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Omani Economic Association in cooperation with the Cultural Committee of Muscat Festival 2015 will be organising a lecture on 'Oil Price Prospects' on Sunday.

The lecture will be delivered by Dr Bassam A Fattouh director Oxford Institute for Energy Studies at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque lecture hall stated a press release.

In his lecture Dr Fattouh will cover a number of themes on the current trends as well as the outlook on the global oil industry.

He will also give his insight into the recent developments in the global oil market with special focus on the US shale oil revolution and the shift in crude oil and product trade flows and the subsequent implications for GCC producers.

Short and long-term energy challenges facing GCC in context of the current oil price environment will also be discussed in the lecture which is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm.
