06 February 2015: UK buyers have been informed that they will be able to snap up the new Subaru Outback when it launches in April from just £27995.
The fifth generation of the Subaru Outback is set to go on sale in the UK this April with the manufacturer revealing that UK prices for the range will start at £27995.
As well as boasting a redesigned exterior the base model will be available with a 2.0 litre turbo-charged diesel power plant pumping out 148bhp and plenty of torque for reliable performance.
A more powerful 2.5 litre petrol engine will be on offer at the higher price point of £28495 while the standard manual gearbox can be replaced with an automatic alternative for £2000 extra on the base model Outback.
LED headlights which automatically activate and adjust are included as standard if you select the SE model as are things such as cruise control heated seats at the front and even a built-in navigation and entertainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen display for ease of use. This new array of technology should be welcomed by fans of the Subaru Outback range while also having the potential to win buyers over from rivals such as the Volvo V60 Cross Country.
For extras including keyless entry 18-inch alloy wheels and leather upholstery the Outback SE Premium is the range-topping choice. Nearly-new versions of the next-generation Subaru Outback should be available by early 2016 while quality used examples from past iterations of the range are also an option for drivers.
