Saudi- APD Telecom cagers triumph in Seder League
(MENAFN- Arab News) APD Telecom set the highest winning margin of 24 points thus far when it crushed Ford to smithereens 72-48 last Thursday in the Barkadahan Division of the Seder Basketball League at the Seder Village court outside of Riyadh.
Up by 9 points at the end of the first half 33-24 APD Telecom of coach Boy Corsega pushed hard offensively to win pulling away with Marlon Jativa a former varsity player at University of the East topscoring with 20 points. Veteran player Jojo Martirez added 11 Adrian Rubala had 10 and Neil Oplas surprised everyone with three consecutive three-pointers.
It was the fourth win in five games for Telecom.
In another Barkadahan game Friday Riyadh Tigers defeated APD Admin 83-67. Mujica was at the helm of the Tigers with 19 points followed by Ersando 15 Jacinto 14 and Abtos and Reyes with 7 each.
In the Inter-Company Division Lulu Supermarket edged out Aramex 74-72 in the game Friday.
The game was close but Lulu got the better of the exchanges to the win. Three players scored in double figures for Lulu namely Costales 26 points Cajana 23 and Panganiban 11.
Robert Cura is the tournament commissioner. Helping Cura run the tournament are committee members Froilan Magollado Boy Feo and Badong Panes. SABRA referees group handles the tournament officiating.
