Business CEOs in Indonesia are Most Trusted Edelmans Survey

JAKARTA February 4 2015─The Edelman Trust Barometer finds business is the most trusted institution among other four ones playing a central role in Indonesian society.

The survey said business continued to be one of the most trusted institution among four other institutions reaching at 70%. Three others are media (68%) government (65%) and NGOs (64%).  

"Iit is a remarkable indication" Stephen Lock Edelman Head of Public Affairs for Southeast Asia said in a release on Tuesday (02/03/2015).

The survey was carried out in October-November last year with 1200 people surveyed as a part of a total 22000 across 27 countries. The survey has been conducted for the seventh in Indonesia. 

Lock said that business continued to maintain its license to lead on the debate for change and play  a central role in Indonesian society. Another finding also shows that CEOs are more trusted in Indonesia than the global average which reached 56% over 41% globally. 

"The trust we see in CEOs as well also gives a tremendous opportunity perhaps even a duty for business leaders to drive and comment upon the national change agenda" he said. READ MORE..
