(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday condemned the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot by Islamic State militants.

Ki-moon called it an "appalling act" by "a terrorist organization with no regard for human life".

"The secretary-general's thoughts are with Mr al-Kassasbeh's family and loved ones," a statement by Ban's spokesman said, adding that the Secretary General shares his sorrow and stands today in solidarity with the government and people of Jordan in denouncing this appalling act.
