Jordan executes terror convicts
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Terror convicts, Sajida al-Rishawi and Zeyad al-Karboli - both Iraqis - were executed early Wednesday.
Al-Rishawi, a would-be suicide bomber, was executed after she was convicted in 2006 of plotting terror acts in her role in the 2005 terrorist bombings which hit three hotels in Amman and claimed the lives of 56 people, an interior ministry statement said. Al-Karboli was also put to death after he was convicted in 2007 of plotting terror acts that led to the death of innocent persons. Both of the convicts were members of a terrorist organization.
