(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As part of an ongoing trade mission in the region Arlene Foster Northern Ireland's Enterprise Minister visited Oman to continue discussions on bilateral trade opportunities.
A press release stated that the minister met some key government officials to support the business objectives of clients in Northern Ireland and to strengthen and grow trade relations between Oman and Northern Ireland.
Arlene who was visiting Oman for the second time also met prominent Omani businesswomen at an event hosted by H E Jon Wilks the British Ambassador to Oman. Commenting on her meeting Arlene said "It was a great pleasure to meet with Omani businesswomen today. I was hugely impressed by their 'can do' attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. Like me they want to see more women involved in the world of business. We had a very interesting and constructive discussion and I look forward to building on this relationship in the future."
The trade mission ended with a reception hosted by the British ambassador. The guests were members of the Omani British Friendship Association some of whom have visited Northern Ireland in the past. "Members of the association are keen to work together with the minister and the Invest Northern Ireland team to strengthen relationships and boost trade opportunities."
