King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Human Development Through Housing 2 Riyadh

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Therefore, the establishment of charitable housing project which was adopted by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in 1992, was just a realistic model for his goodness where he has, through it, relieved the sufferings of poor families whose homes had been collapsed and cracked as a result of heavy rains on Riyadh in that year, after he was briefed on this catastrophe by the late Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz.

In a swift response, King Salman has timely ordered the establishment of a housing project for these families under the umbrella of 'Al-Birr Society', then turned it into an independent charitable project in 1997, until it became Charitable Society in 2008.

This Society has now completed the distribution of 541 housing units in four neighborhoods in Riyadh to 2990 beneficiaries, in a move aimed at implementing 15 housing compounds in different quarters in Riyadh region and its provinces in the coming years.
