Arab League condemns ISIL's beheading of Japanese hostage


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby on Monday condemned ISIL's "outrageous" act of beheading Japanese citizen Kenji Goto.

Calling on the international community to stand in face of the growing phenomena of terrorism, Al-Araby also condemned ISIL's (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) execution of the other Japanese hostage Haruna Yukawa, who was killed by the extremist group on January 24th.

Al-Araby extended condolences to the Japanese government, people and families' of the victims.

The ISIL broadcast, two days ago, a video footage showing "execution" of the Japanese hostage. It had linked sparing his life to release of Sajida Al-Rishawi, a female on the death row in Jordan.

The ISIL has recently turned stronger after seizing large swaths of land in Iraq and Syria.
