(MENAFN- Al-Anbaa) In a joint press release, Nouf General Trading and Contracting Conferences and Exhnitions Division (NoufEXPO) and Kuwait Advancement for Confrences & Exhibitions Management Foundation (KADCEM) announced today that the Kuwait Conference and Exhibition on National Health Economics will convene from 10 € 11 May 2015 at the Baraka Hall of Crowne Plaza Hotel Kuwait. The two companies announced that the conference will be held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad AL-Sabah. It is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. This patronage and support, the companies said, confirm that health services in Kuwait enjoy a high level of attention by the political leadership of Kuwait.
Commenting on the Health Economics, the subject matter of the conference, the companies said "Health Economics is gaining momentum internationally. Health services bills are, no doubt, representing a huge burden on countries' national budgets. New ways, business processes, and technologies should be sought to deliver the necessary healthcare services at an affordable cost. Yet, the quality of healthcare services should not be compromised. Health Economics help officials build more efficient and productive processes and reduce unnecessary costs. Our times of continuous inflation of healthcare costs, decreasing oil prices, and worldwide political unrest make the recent science of Health Economics a mandatory and invaluable tool to move forward."

Referring to the objectives of the Kuwait Conference and Exhibition on National Health Economics, the companies said that the conference aims at introducing the concept of health economics as an integral component of national health policy, describing the principles of health technology assessment and highlighting its impact on the formation of effective health policy that will lead to improved health and economic decision-making, identifiying areas of healthcare costs and trends in healthcare spending, encouraging the participation of the private sector in delivering healthcare services, and exploring examples of economic evaluation of pharmaceutical products that necessitates their availability for patients in need. The conference, moreover, will discuss the human resources requirements that help delivering efficient healthcare services.

In order to achieve these objectives, the companies said that a long list of prestigious specialized organizations are participating such as World Health Organization (WHO), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Executive Board of the Health Ministers' Council for GCC States, Center of Innovation for reagulatory science, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, related healthcare companies, banks & insurance companies, and many industry specialists.
