Zayani Condemns Japanese Hostage Killing


(MENAFN- QNA) Riyadh, February 01 GCC Secretary-General Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani strongly condemned the killing of Japanese hostage Keji Goto which was committed by terrorist daash organization describing it as 'a heinous crime'.

In a statement issued today, Dr. Al-Zayani said this criminal act contravenes all humanitarian and ethical values and has nothing to do with Islamic principles, stressing that GCC states denounce terrorism in all its forms and condemn the criminal acts of violence committed by this misled category in each of Syria and Iraq against Muslims and hostages.

He called on the international community to intensify joint efforts to uproot this extremist and terrorist phenomenon and to confront by all means to halt their sabotage and aggressive acts.

Dr. Al-Zayani expressed condolences to the relative of the killed hostage, the government and the friendly Japanese people.
