(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Jordan is heading the working group of the European Union - Mid meeting in partnership with the European Union (EU), in Brussels which deals with labor and employment.
It is titled 'Moving from a Disorganized Economy to an Organized Economy'' and has all EU members participating, in addition to 15 south Mediterranean states.
During the meeting, Jordan viewed the strategies adopted by the Labor Ministry to reduce unemployment and head to an organized economy, in view of the challenges facing Jordan's job market, a statement by the ministry said Saturday.
Labor Ministry delegate, Assistant Secretary General, Mohammad Qudah, said, ''The societies in southern Mediterranean, in particular the Arab region are young societies where their ages range from 15 to 30. They make up between 27 and 31 percent of the population, and this percentage will increase in the next two decades.''
