Labor receiving 'transactions'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor resumed its activities and the labor departments started receiving transactions again after suspending the transfer of residence for two weeks due to inventory, reports Al-Shahed daily. Sources said there was no congestion in the visitors' lounge of the labor departments which normally witness heavy jam after the suspension of issuance of external work permits, especially as Public Authority for Manpower has announced a new mechanism will be implemented in this domain.

They explained the decision of suspending the transfer of laborers registered on governmental contracts except for those on the same sponsor has helped reduce congestion in the labor departments. In the same context, several employers have stressed the importance of controlling the labor market, particularly the phenomenon of marginal personnel stemming from the activities of some greedy people.
