(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The second round of the 2015 Qatar International Endurocross championship, organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation QMMF, took place at Sealine Beach Resort in Doha yesterday with participation of 53 riders.
In the E1 category, Meshari Abou Shaibah of Kuwait won both race 1 and 2. He led from from the beginning and gave no chance to the other competitors.
Second place in the E1 category went to another Kuwaiti, Moaath Al Ansari, and UAE's Saeed Al Shenqiti was third.
In the E2 category, both races had same outcome - Jake Preston stood first, UAE's Mohammed Al Balooshi was second and Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Jaffar finished third.
In the Quad category the winner was Mohammed Al Shamri from UAE riding a Kawasaki KFX-450 quad. Fahad Al Mussallam from Kuwait got the second place, followed by Kuwaiti Mohammed Al Kulaifi.
Yannic Le Gourvenec got the lead in the veteran category. Mubarak Al Ali was second and Anwar Al Nuami was third.
Nasser Khalifa Al Attiyah, QMMF President, FIM Deputy President and FIA Vice-president, expressed his happiness at the end of the event. "I am very happy to see the number of participants increasing
exponentially this season of Qatar International Endurocross. Thanks to all the riders and teams for joining us and we will continue to support riders can have more participants with this great level of competition," he said.
The trophies were distributed by Al Attiyah, Sultan Al Morraikhi, QMMF Board Member, Mohammed Saad Al Moraikhi, QMMF general secretary, Essa Al Awadi, FIM Asia Vice-president, and Hamad Al Seif, Kuwaiti federation representative.
