(MENAFN- QNA) The second annual general meeting for heads of Qatar's diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad concluded Thursday in the presence of HE Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.
At the beginning of the closing ceremony, Dr. Al Attiyah expressed his thanks to Their Excellencies aides, ambassadors and heads of departments at the Foreign Ministry for their effort to make a success of this meeting.
HE Al Attiyah said the three-day meeting was an important opportunity to conduct a thorough review of work strategies, coordination and cooperation between the ministry and government agencies to promote successes of Qatar's foreign policy in the different fields and achieve state interests.
Addressing at the meeting, GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani pointed to the significant role of embassies in activating and achieving the foreign policy of countries, pointing to the existing cooperation between GCC foreign ministries.
Concluding his speech, Al Zayani thanked HE Dr. Al Attiyah and all those involved in organizing the event.
Dr. Al Attiyah honored Qatar's outstanding embassies and consulates and representations abroad, stressing that this recognition is a catalyst for embassies, consulates and representations abroad to exert more effort in order to promote Qatar's foreign policy and offer the best services to citizens abroad and remove obstacles they might face.
