S. Korea plans to sell USD7.05b in state debts in February


(MENAFN) South Korea plans to sell state bonds worth USD7.05 billion in February, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance showed, Yonhap News reported.

According to the ministry, the government will sell USD1.75 billion in three-year Treasurys, USD1.75 billion in five-year debts and USD1.89 billion worth of 10-year bonds next month.

It also plans to issue USD783.19 million worth of 20-year bonds and USD875.3 in 30-year bonds.

The ministry said it sold USD8.33 billion worth of bonds in January, with USD46.06 million being so-called Treasury inflation protected securities. The total is larger than the original goal of USD7.04 billion worth of bonds announced in late December.
